Two practices. One studio; a shared space for making things with care. Prompted by a keen sensibility towards craft and artistry, Marta Buda and Douglas Johns have established a studio where their practices intertwine - textiles and design alongside brand building and visual communication. Best Wishes is not racing towards the future. It is interested in the continuity of tradition, of human-centred design practices that create shape and meaning, and in helping people and brands make things for the real world.
           Marta Buda is a textile designer and maker, with an affinity for fashion and object curation. Her work is provoked by a sensitivity for the relationship between maker, concept, and product, and a desire to preserve a human quality within contemporary design.
           Douglas Johns is a designer and creative working in brand building, identity, product, and packaging. His approach to crafting brand systems centers around creating cohesion and clarity. A love for the analog influences the incorporation of tactile experiences in his work, helping make spaces warmer, products engaging, and brands more consequential.
