Nousaku, Tsubomi Wind Chime, Silver
Cast metal bell wind chime, designed by Japanese designer Oji Masanori for Nousaku.
The solid brass bell houses a thin clapper disk that produces a gentle whimsical ringing sound when a breeze moves the dangling cotton pom-poms. Can be hung indoors or outdoors and is perfect for any room in the house but is best experienced near a window.
Made in Japan
Brass Bell dimensions; Height 4.4cm, Diameter 3.2cm
Pom-poms are attached to a brass disk that rings as it catches the wind and hits the bell, and hangs on a clear wire with a metal ring to hang from.
Please note this has a polished silver metal finish -less textured than the uncoated brass version.
"In 1916 Nousaku began manufacturing Buddhist ritual objects, Japanese tea sets and vases made of brass and bronze in Takaoka, Japan. Casting is a manufacturing process in which molten metal is poured into a mold to form an object of the desired shape. Every Nousaku product starts with the creation of a sand mold and then undergoes several finishing processes. Hand-finishing by experienced craftsmen accentuates its material beauty and fineness."
