Bruno Munari - Goodnight Everyone
Goodnight Everyone Bruno Munari, 1945
When it gets dark, it's time to go to bed for everyone. But where do all the animals go find a shelter? Good night to everyone is one of the eight books of the historic 1945 series by Munari. He devised these lively books/albums for children using large pictures, pages and inserts of different sizes and varying holes to arouse the curiosity of the observer. Many of these texts were inspired by games and rituals that the artist did with his son Alberto, and then chose to put on paper. To the joy of all the children, and not only.
Bruno Munari (1907-1998) was an Italian artist, designer and inventor. "Since his very first experiences in the 30s among the artists of the Second Futurism, he always dedicated his creative activity to every form of “experimentation”, with a particular attention to the world of children and their games and toys. Never separating content from form and materials, what he designed were at once books, book-objects and games that would make us think."
