Two practices. One studio.
Reintroducing Studio Best Wishes; a shared space for making things with care. Prompted by a keen sensibility towards craft and artistry, Marta Buda and Douglas Johns have established a studio where their practices intertwine. Textile craft and design alongside brand building and graphic design. Best Wishes is not racing towards the future. It is interested in continuity of tradition, in crafting shape and meaning, and helping people and brands create things for the real world.
Douglas Johns is a designer and creative working in brand building, identity, packaging. He loves to create tactile brand experiences. With a background in hospitality and food and beverage, his reference points are found in the things that make spaces warmer, products, and looking after people.
Marta Buda is a textile designer and maker, with an affinity for fashion and object curation. Her work is provoked by a sensitivity for the relationship between maker, concept and product and a desire to preserve a human quality within contemporary design.
